This isn't just a fundraiser. It's an invitation

In July 2026, I will join eXXpedition on a sailing mission along the west coast of Greenland, traveling from Ilulissat to Nuuk aboard an all-women crew studying plastics pollution in the Arctic. I am asking for sponsorhsips from companies and individual donors to support the costs of this incredible advenure.

People have asked why I’m fundraising for this mission. The short answer is the obvious one: this is expensive. The honest answer is layered somewhere between sharing science, stories, and childhood dreams. Beyond that, I truly believe this mission is not about me; I am simply an ambassador. I want to take you all on this journey with me. This is about supporting solutions for plastic pollution and inspiring women like me to believe in themselves, take a risk, jump into something new, and keep that momentum going.

This isn't just a fundraiser, it's an invitation to join me on this mission to Greenland. This is about building community and supporting women doing something extraordinary. Let’s face it, there’s a lot going on in the world right now, and too much of it is heavy—it weighs us down. This mission is the opposite. This mission is about uniting people from all over the globe to seek solutions. Your contributions are about more than supporting me to go on a boat. Every dollar supports compassion, love, courage, hope, and adventure.

Throughout the mission, I’ll be sharing stories, reflections, photos, communications, and probably a few moments where I accidentally do something incredibly awkward. By supporting this fundraiser, you are not just helping me get to Greenland. You are helping support:

  • Women in science and exploration

  • Ocean plastics research and outreach

  • Science communication and storytelling

  • Public engagement around marine conservation

  • A deeply human journey into the unknown

Support me directly through Venmo (@KbearAZ) or sail on over to the donor page to learn more.

Please note, I am intentionally not setting up a fundraising platform to avoid processing fees. This is the best may to ensure every cent goes directly to support the mission.
